Hon. Antoinette Ogange is a distinguished Magistrate of the Judiciary of Kenya, admitted to the Bar on 25th May 2017. She brings to the Bench a wealth of experience in the adjudication of complex criminal, civil, and small claims matters, guided by a judicial philosophy anchored in rigorous evidentiary analysis, procedural integrity, constitutional fidelity, and principled application of the law.
Prior to her judicial appointment, Hon. Ogange founded and managed a dynamic private legal practice where she litigated across diverse and technically demanding jurisdictions, including the Environment and Land Court, the Employment and Labour Relations Court, and the Court of Appeal. Her advocacy practice was marked by meticulous preparation, persuasive legal reasoning, and a deep commitment to access to justice.
She subsequently served in the Office of the Attorney General, representing the State before the High Court of Kenya. In that capacity, she handled complex public law litigation, advancing constitutional interpretation, administrative law principles, and matters of significant public interest.
Hon. Ogange holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Media and Communication Law at Daystar University, reflecting her keen interest in emerging legal frontiers including digital governance, information rights, and media regulation.
Her professional development includes specialized training in Cyber security and Digital Forensic Evidence, Public Interest Litigation, and Election Petition Practice—areas that demand both technical proficiency and constitutional sensitivity. She is a member of the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association and previously served on the Public Interest Litigation Committee of the Law Society of Kenya, contributing to strategic litigation aimed at advancing constitutionalism and the rule of law.
As a GLGI Judge under the Green Law Global Initiative, Hon. Ogange contributes to advancing environmental jurisprudence, sustainability governance, and climate justice discourse, particularly through structured moot court engagements and judicial capacity-building platforms.
